We let Frazier out agian today in the round pen area where he has less room to hurt himself, lol that just pissed him off. He wants to run and play but we want him to have at least a year of his healing to take place with the bones instead. He is very sweet and follows the rules. He will get another turn out in the bigger arena soon enough, but for now he gets to walk around on the lead, and turn outs are left to the smaller areas. What a cutie pie he is. He is a little gentleman with a fire cracker to throw, lol.
Lucky got his feet done today with his sponsor Jenny at his side. Some of the horses here take to the people that spend so much time with them and they are so much calmer with their mommies or daddies with them when they have to get the feet or teethe done. Lucky is one of those horses that just does better with Jenny at his side. He has come so far now that he has his own sponsor that will never leave him. He needed that trusting bond and now he has it. He was a drup horse from Mexico and was beaten, and left in the desert after his haul was done. He was tied to trees and with wire in his mouth so he nearly cut his tounge of 4 times. He has no reason to trust us, but he sure has reason to trust Jenny. She is with him 4 to 5 times a week playing games with him and loving him all up. He and his best friend are the team that can show others that anything can be done if you just have a little faith. Love these two.
Ashley is doing great with her treatments here. She is responding well, and is gaining weight quickley. I just hope not to fast and that she is not pregnant. We will see as time goes on but she is looking great and picking up her speed on the walks and the attitude to get out and go for them. What a great team of people that are working with her here.
Thank you everyone that donates to HEART. This was a beautiful sight to see when our supply of hay came in today. Now we start the fundraising all over again for the next load we will need in a few months. We hope to raise enough so that we can buy enough hay to get us through the winter this time before the price goes up again.
Dr. Dryden brought Dyna King some new shoes today. They are different than the last shoes that he has been wearing and they have a cushion on the bottoms of them so that it will be more comfortable for him to walk in.
Well as he was getting ready to put the bottom of his shoe on we noticed that there was still a maggot that had made it through the whole application, lol. They sure keep his feet clean.
